THE CIRCULAR AND BIO ECONOMY CENTRE

The Centre aims to develop a more competitive business environment for companies involved in the circular economy. The establishment of the Circular Economy Centre is a logical continuation of Kemin Digipolis Oy’s work in promoting the circular economy. Lapland University of Applied Sciences has chosen the development of circular and bio economy as a strategic focus area. Circular economy is the future of business here and now!

Broader project description

  • The Kemi-Tornio economic region accounts for about 80% of Lapland's industrial production. Exports of companies in the region exceed EUR 5 billion annually.
  • Large companies, environmental companies, industrial service companies, research and training institutes.
  • Preparation of an ecosystem for industrial circular economy 2012–2017.
